(McKenzie County, ND) — McKenzie County officials responded to the spill of an unknown substance on a rural road Wednesday. The spill happened along McKenzie County Road 10, and the unknown substance reportedly emitted a foul odor. The Hazmat Response Team was called to the scene to provide air monitoring to ensure safety, and also to take samples from the spill to figure out what it was. Officials say the spill didn’t pose any immediate risk and has since been cleaned up, but the bad smell may still linger in the area for a while.
