(Moorhead, MN) — A Moorhead woman will plead guilty in a hit-and-run crash that left a 12-year-old boy seriously injured. The collision happened last April, when police say Jaqueline Swanson hit Zamir Rayford with her car as he was riding his bike on 21st Street South, leaving him with broken bones and damaged organs that required multiple surgeries. Swanson was later arrested and charged with two felony counts of criminal vehicular injury. She has agreed to sign an open plea agreement, and a plea hearing has been scheduled for January 29th.
