South Dakota Receives Federal Grant Aimed Fighting Domestic Violence

(Sioux Falls, SD) — More aid is being provided to South Dakota agencies who fight against domestic violence. The 518-thousand dollar grant comes from the federal Office of Violence Against Woman, which is designed to help “improve local and statewide criminal justice response to domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.” South Dakota Voices for Peace is set to receive part of the funds. The organization said it’s looking forward to partnering with community outreach and helping victims who are immigrants.
