Research Shows 64K Became Pregnant From Rape After Roe v. Wade

(Billings, MT) — New research suggests over 64-thousand women and girls have become pregnant due to rape in states that banned abortion after Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court. Research published online Wednesday by Planned Parenthood of Montana estimates that since June of 2022, over 500-thousand rapes were associated with over 64-thousand pregnancies in 14 states, most of which have anti-abortion laws that make no exceptions for rape. Of those states, Texas had the most rape-related pregnancies.
