(Bismarck, ND) — More than 73-thousand people have already applied for North Dakota’s new property tax credit. That’s according to North Dakota tax commissioner Brian Kroshus, who says it’s part of a three-pronged approach to tax relief to return surplus dollars to citizens. It’s a refund from taxes levied at the local level, driven by city and county budgets. Kroshus expects to see a lot more applications come in before the March 31st deadline. The credit will be reflected on 2024 property tax statements and will be applied against what’s owed.
