Woman Accused Of Stealing Money From Cystic Fibrosis Association Of North Dakota

(Bismarck, ND) — A former employee of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of North Dakota is accused of stealing money from the non-profit group. Police claim Carey Yantzer used a credit card issued in the association’s name for personal purchases, racking up more than 24-thousand dollars in charges between early 2022 and late 2023. She’s charged with one count of theft by deception and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted. Yantzer was arrested on Thursday and her initial court appearance is set for 2:30 p.m. today.
