(Sioux Falls, SD) — South Dakota lawmakers are sending a bill legalizing TNR to Governor Kristi Noem’s desk. It’s the process known as trap, neuter and release. Senate Bill 172 passed the Senate nearly unanimously, 31-to-1, after amendments were made by the House last week to remove a reference to dogs. Republican Senator David Wheeler says that the bill will help organizations legally address the growing problem of stray cats in South Dakota communities.
