Ramsey County Deputy On Administrative Leave After Alleged Theft

(Ramsey County, ND) — A Ramsey County Sheriff’s deputy has been placed on administrative leave and the North Dakota BCI is investigating an alleged theft involving deputy Benjamin Myrum. Investigators say Myrum faces possible charges involving misapplication of entrusted property. Sheriff Bryan Lang says Myrum violated county and departmental policy. Due to a potential conflict of interest, Sheriff Lang has referred the matter to the BCI for independent review. Myrum could face further disciplinary action up to and including termination and criminal charges.
