North Dakota Paddlefish Snagging Season Kicks Off Today

(Bismarck, ND) — Anglers from across North Dakota will head to the Missouri-Yellowstone River confluence today for the start of the annual paddlefish snagging season. The season runs until May 21st, but could end early depending on the number of fish caught. The length of the season can also depend on how deep the river is, and this year we’re seeing a lower flow, meaning the fish may be easier to catch. Harvest-only days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays are snag and release only.
