Guns Seized At North Dakota-Canada Border

(Neche, ND) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials seized 67 abandoned firearms at the North Dakota-Canada border earlier this month. The guns were discovered near Neche after Border Patrol agents responded to reports of suspicious activity in the area. Agents found two people trying to cross into Canada, and three backpacks containing 65 handguns and two rifles. Officials announced the seizure of the weapons just before a U.S. House subcommittee convened in Grand Forks to discuss border security on Wednesday.
