(Pierre, SD) — The annual American Legion Ride 605 is underway. The four-day motorcycle ride benefits South Dakota veterans as a fundraiser for the American Legion Foundation. There are 12 different posts on the route where riders are being presented with checks. Riders geared up for the journey Saturday morning at Capital Lake in Pierre. The group spent the night in Mitchell the first night, then passed through Sioux Falls last night. Redfield is the resting spot tonight before wrapping up the tour back in Pierre tomorrow. This year’s goal for the legion ride is to raise at least five-thousand dollars.
