Psychedelic Mushroom Candies Possibly Linked To Death In ND

(Bismarck, ND) — Federal health officials are investigating a death in North Dakota that may be linked to psychedelic mushroom candies. The candies in question were sold under the brand name “Diamond Shruumz”, and the products have been recalled after testing found they contain muscimol, a chemical found in toxic Amanita mushrooms. At least 48 people across the U.S. have reported seizures, heart problems, and loss of consciousness after eating the products. North Dakota Health and Human Services hasn’t released further information on the death possibly linked to the candies.
