(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken is apologizing for a decision that threw a lot of folks’ Fourth of July plans into a tailspin. On Wednesday, with inclement weather in the forecast for the 4th, the decision was made to cancel a number of events including an Independence Day parade, a 5k fun run / walk and other activities. As people in the area know, yesterday’s weather was filled with clear skies and sunshine. On social media yesterday, Mayor TenHaken said he was sorry for the cancelations and promised that next year’s Fourth will be even better.
