Landowner Bill of Rights Measure To Appear On November Ballot

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A ballot question that would establish a Landowner Bill of Rights will appear on the general election ballot in November. South Dakota Secretary of State Monae Johnson announced Wednesday that SB 201 has been validated with more than 31-thousand signatures. If the measure passes, counties will be able to impose a surcharge on certain pipeline companies and establish a Landowner Bill of Rights.
