Music Program At BPS Cut For No Teacher

(Bismarck, ND) — Another school program has fallen victim to the post pandemic trend of a teacher shortage. The Bismarck Schools say the orchestra program for fourth graders will be cut this year because officials couldn’t fill a teaching position. They say after listing the job for a month the three candidates who did apply didn’t work out. The carpentry program at Career Academy could also be at risk if a position available in that department isn’t filled.
