Sioux Falls Police Cited Over 100 Drivers During Saturation Patrol

(Sioux Falls, SD) — The Sioux Falls Police Department says it handed out over 100 citations to reckless or speeding drivers over the weekend. During what they call a “saturation patrol” on Saturday, officers wrote 114 citations — 74 of them for speeding. Police spokesperson Sam Clemens says the highest speed they clocked was 102 miles-per-hour in a 40 mile-per-hour zone near 26th Street and Ellis Road. Others were ticketed for driving without a seatbelt or issues with driver’s licenses.
