(Rapid City, SD) — The U.S. Attorney’s Office says a Rapid City man will spend four years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to illegal firearm possession. Thirty-four-year-old Marvin Brings Plenty pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person last April. In October of 2023, Brings Plenty, a convicted felon, was found to have two semi-automatic pistols when authorities executed a search warrant at his home. He was also using meth and fentanyl at the time he had the firearms. Brings Plenty will also serve three years of supervised release.
