(Cass County, ND) — Authorities are describing a recent shooting in Cass County as a drug deal gone wrong. It happened last week near a radio tower outside of Fargo, and left the victim with a serious gunshot wound. Investigators say the victim met up with two people for a drug deal on the property, but was shot following an alleged dispute over money. One of the suspects has been identified as 34-year-old Starmaine Hoeper, and he faces several charges including attempted murder. The victim has undergone two surgeries and is expected to survive.
