New Case Of State Employee Committing Fraud

News

(Pierre, SD) — There’s a new case of a South Dakota state employee committing fraud just weeks after a Department of Social Services employee was accused of stealing nearly two million dollars. The Attorney General’s office says it’s been investigating a former DMV employee allegedly using fake titles for loans. That individual reportedly collected around 400-thousand dollars in the scheme. Attorney General Marty Jackley says he wants more to be done with government audits following this latest alleged forgery scandal. The investigation into the former DMV started back in February, according to officials.
