(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls and the southeastern part of the state could see severe weather late this afternoon and tonight. Radar shows a storm system that is expected to hit the Sioux Falls area around 4 p.m. today. The National Weather Service says the greatest risk of large hail and “potentially damaging wind gusts” will be around 5 p.m. and again around 10 or 11 p.m. There’s also a possibility of tornadoes. In addition, a heat advisory is in effect for the area today beginning at 1 p.m.
