(Dickinson, ND) — A suspect has been arrested following an hours-long standoff in Dickinson. It began early Thursday afternoon, when a man suspected of stealing a gun from a pawn shop led police on a chase and then barricaded himself inside a house along First Avenue East. Police say the suspect fired a gun inside the home and made threats toward law enforcement. By early evening, officers fired tear gas into the home, and the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody a short time later. No officers or civilians were injured.
