Woman’s Death After Shooting Investigated

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Police in Sioux Falls are investigating the death of a woman following a shooting at a mobile home. The shooting was reported late Wednesday night in the northwest section of the city. A woman with multiple gunshot wounds was found on the floor and life-saving efforts were not successful. Police found evidence that fentanyl had been used in the home, according to court documents. It isn’t known at this time if her death was caused by the gunshot wounds or was drug-related. No arrests have been made in connection with her death, but 44-year-old Michael Spath the Second is facing weapon and drug charges. He was in court on Thursday.
