(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck woman has been sentenced to one-and-a-half years of probation in an animal cruelty case. The charges stem from kittens that were found dead in a backpack along a roadside in Mandan last year. Investigators determined that the kittens were left there by Taylor Jensen, who pleaded guilty to seven counts of animal cruelty last Friday. Jensen had reportedly tried to drop the kittens off at a local animal rescue non-profit, but was turned away because she didn’t follow the facility’s surrender policies.
