Mitchell Animal Shelter Takes In 60 Cats In Hoarding Case

news

(Mitchell, SD) — Mitchell Animal Rescue says it has taken in 60 cats following a recent hoarding case. It began in August at a property outside the city limits. The rescue made an exception to limit its cases within city limits and got involved after the property owner became ill. The cats with the most severe health issues were brought to a veterinarian and then taken to the home of the owner of the rescue. The rescue’s owner said they’re focusing on the younger cats because they have the best chance of getting adopted.
