(Sioux Falls, SD) — A teen who had escaped juvenile custody is back under arrest. The teen had been arrested for allegedly bringing a weapon to Axtell Park Middle School and making “terroristic threats,” according to a Sioux Falls Police spokesperson. The 15-year-old escaped Wednesday evening while being transferred between juvenile facilities. He was found and arrested again Thursday morning. Police had obtained a court order allowing them to release the name and a description of the subject due to the potential threat to the safety of the community. The police spokesperson said the court order allowed them to “release information necessary for his arrest,” but does not allow them to release information now that he’s back in custody.
