State Attorney General Drew Wrigley says he will appeal a judge’s decision that struck down North Dakota’s abortion ban

(Bismarck, ND) — State Attorney General Drew Wrigley says he will appeal a judge’s decision that struck down North Dakota’s abortion ban. On Thursday, a judge ruled North Dakota’s state constitution protects a woman’s right to an abortion before the fetus is viable. The judge said in his 24-page ruling that the abortion ban “takes away a woman’s liberty and her right to pursue and obtain safety and happiness.” Wrigley said in a statement the judge had “flaws in his analysis” when he made the ruling.
