Black Hills National Forest Could Raise Fees

(Rapid City, SD) — The Black Hills National Forest could raise its off-season recreational fees. National Forest officials say more people are visiting the area during the off season, which has led to higher maintenance costs. Picnic sites and day-use areas would increase from ten dollars to 15 dollars, if approved. The public is invited to weigh-in on the new fee proposal through November 29th.
