(Wall, SD) — The Department of Public Safety is releasing the name of the 73-year-old man who was killed while driving a 1929 Ford Model A. A news release identified the victim as John Wilson Whaley of Pierre. The release said it happened Friday morning on Interstate 90 West around mile marker 110 near the town of Wall. Whaley was ejected from the vehicle when it rolled into a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The South Dakota Highway Patrol’s investigation is ongoing.
