(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Sioux Falls man who worked for both the South Dakota Attorney General’s Office and U.S. Attorney’s Office is having his day in court. Donald Tinklepaugh appeared in front of a judge yesterday for 21 counts of charges for raping a child. His attorney said the Tinklepaugh was shocked and disappointed by the allegations. A prosecutor called him a dangerous man who preyed on a young child and allegedly threatened her so she wouldn’t report it. The alleged crimes began in September of 2016 when the victim was just eight years old and continued for nearly two years until May of 2018. That’s according to court documents. Bond was set at 750-thousand dollars cash only by the judge. The 47-year-old Tinklepaugh’s South Dakota law license has been active since 2004.
