Crews Still Working To Restore Power In Mandaree

(Mandaree, ND) — Crews are working around the clock to get power restored in Mandaree. Officials on the Fort Berthold Reservation say about 500 structures in the Mandaree area lost power Tuesday afternoon, and water outages were also reported. Fort Berthold Rural Water said there was little or no water pressure because the power outage caused a control valve to malfunction. The water was restored a few hours later after the city of Mandaree switched to a backup generator, but officials say crews are still working to find the source of the power outage, which is taking longer because much of the electrical workings are underground.
