Protesters Arrested After Building Occupied At University Of Minnesota

(Minneapolis, MN) — Nearly a dozen people are facing charges after a protest yesterday at the University of Minnesota. A pro-Palestinian group called Students for a Democratic Society organized a protest on the campus yesterday afternoon. The university announced on social media that the protesters had occupied Morrill Hall, causing property damage and blocking entrances. University police detained eleven people, transporting them to the Hennepin County Jail. Yesterday marked the beginning of homecoming week at the university.
