(Hughes Co., SD) — Two Hughes County ballot tabulating machines being used on election night have passed public testing. Hughes County Finance Officer Thomas Oliva says the machines have a number of security measures to ensure there is no possible tampering. Backup batteries and generators will be on hand to keep the machines working in the event of an emergency.
