(Bismarck, ND) — State officials have approved the final permits for a new natural gas processing plant near Williston. The Cerilon GTL North Dakota plant will be constructed outside Trenton, and will be the first large-scale gas-to-liquids facility in North America. Construction will begin in 2026 and should take two years. About two-thousand people will be working on the three-point-two-billion-dollar plant, which will convert natural gas into industrial products such as lubricants, and will also produce electricity for the region. The facility will also discharge about 400-thousand gallons per day of treated wastewater into the Missouri River.
