(Sioux Falls, SD) — A man is dead after getting shot in eastern Sioux Falls yesterday morning. Sioux Falls Police says the shooting happened behind Eastway Bowl just before 9 a.m. The victim has been identified as a 38-year-old who was critically hit once and died at the scene. It’s currently being investigated as the city’s 16th homicide this year. SFPD Sargeant Travis Olsen says there is no threat to the public at this time. He added the other person involved is in contact with law enforcement, but no further details were shared on a suspect. Authorities are continuing to investigate the shooting.
