(Washington, D.C.) — Governor Kristi Noem is headed to Washington, DC for her confirmation hearing. But she will now have a wait a couple more days. It was set for today on Capitol Hill, but has now been postponed to Friday, January 17th at 9 a.m. Governor Noem has completed all of her paperwork, but the FBI has yet to complete its portion of the paperwork, according to an aide with the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Noem is President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to head the Department of Homeland Security. The confirmation hearing for Homeland Security Secretary comes days after Noem delivered her State of the State speech in Pierre.
