(Lincoln County, SD) — Authorities are giving the ‘all clear’ after no explosives were found at the new prison site in Lincoln County. South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley confirmed yesterday afternoon that DCI and Lincoln County law enforcement swept the scene to confirm. Authorities responded to a report earlier in the day of a potential agricultural explosive threat at the site between Harrisburg and Canton. Bomb techs and an explosive K-9 unit took part in the investigation. Jackley says the call came from a concerned citizen recommending the area be checked out after seeing people near old farm buildings that have previously housed agricultural explosive materials. It was found there’s no danger to the public at this time.
