(Pierre, SD) — The City of Sioux Falls is working to take its airport to new heights. Yesterday’s Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Meeting gave local industry experts the chance to explore the challenges and opportunities of running a growing airport in a rapidly expanding city. Rotarian Dan Letellier, who is also the Executive Director of Sioux Falls Regional Airport, led a discussion on the current state of the industry, funding needs, and future expansion plans. He also hinted that a new service to Washington, D.C. could be coming soon. Other leaders noted that increased air travel through Sioux Falls means more capacity is needed, and the next phase of development could change the way travelers experience the city.
