Ranch Owner Shares Rare Quadruplet Bull Calves Experience

(Veblen, SD) — The owner of a family ranch in Veblen is sharing his experience after welcoming a set of quadruplet bull calves last week. Stavick Simmental owner Mike Stavick says he was already blown away to see triplets for only the second time in his life. But he then checked for any more just in case and, to his surprise, found another pair of back legs to pull out. Astonishing data reveals the odds of a cow having quadruplets is one in 700 thousand. But for them all to survive is one in more than 11 million. To make things even crazier and this event truly once in a lifetime, the odds of all four calves being the same sex is one in nearly 180 million.
