(Bismarck, ND) — State Representative Nico Rios says he plans to make a formal apology over antisemitic remarks he posted online. The Republican had recently posted a comment on social media about Mexico’s president wondering if the CIA would — quote — “help Trump overthrow and kick this Jew out of power in Mexico.” Some GOP lawmakers denounced his comments and said the views expressed by Rios do not align with their views or principles. Rios says he should not have made the remarks, which he called stupid. But he rejected calls for him to resign.
