(Rapid City, SD) — South Dakota’s U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson says there’s enthusiasm and excitement in Congress now that President Trump is settling into office. But Trump’s early actions on certain issues have brought a lot of noise to the work being done. Johnson recently sat down with Dakota News Watch at the Black Hills Stock Show in Rapid City. He said border issues remain a top concern in America, including border security and immigration. Johnson supports Trump’s immigration efforts and notes legal immigrants should have nothing to worry about with the ongoing crackdown. Johnson also says he filed the bill for President Trump to pursue ownership and operation of the Panama Canal because it’s a key American asset.
