As reported by Triple-A, the average price for a gallon of regular rose slightly on Friday to a tenth under $2.99, this as the corresponding national figure inched upward to $3.16. Costs were lowest in Mississippi at a couple of tenths under $2.69. California motorists continue to pay the most. Yesterday’s Golden State figure rose slightly to a little over $4.82.
