(Madison, WI) — A federal employee from Aberdeen is speaking out after losing her job because of President Trump’s spending cuts. SDSU alum Bailey Biegler was working for the USDA for about a month in Madison, Wisconsin, when she was terminated on Valentine’s Day. She says she was notified just three and a half hours before the end of the workday, and unaware of any cuts even happening to the USDA. Biegler was a probationary employee in a full-time permanent office position with the Animal Plant and Health Inspection Service. She’s worried for others ending up in her position who have to take care of a family or pay their mortgage. Trump’s move to reduce spending on federal agencies is likely to result in cuts for around 200-thousand federal probationary worker.
