(Bismarck, ND) — State regulators say they’ve issued one of the largest-ever fines to a wind power company. The North Dakota Public Services commission has fined NextEra Energy of Florida 50-thousand dollars for disturbing Native American historic sites. The Bismarck Tribune reports the company was fined for unplanned construction and permanent damage to two archaeological sites and one cultural site during a wind project in Oliver County.
