(Fargo, ND) — Officials say there were fewer fires in North Dakota in 2024 than in the previous year. Preliminary data from the state fire marshal shows there were over 29-hundred fires in North Dakota last year, resulting in nearly 27-million dollars’ in property losses. That’s compared to more than 31-hundred fire incidents reported in 2023. The top fire incidents were grass fires, followed by building and vehicle fires. The final report will released in September.
