(San Antonio, TX) — NBA superstar Victor Wembanyama is expected to miss the rest of the season. The San Antonio Spurs announced Thursday that Wembanyama had been diagnosed with a blood clot in his right shoulder. The team said it was discovered after he returned from playing in the All-Star Game. Wembanyama won Rookie of the Year last season and helped France earn the silver medal at the Summer Olympics. The Spurs are currently chasing down a spot in the Play-In tournament as they sit in 12th place in the Western Conference.
