(Spring Park, MN) — Minnesota D-N-R officials are warning people who ice fish to start removing ice houses on some Minnesota lakes. With the warming temperatures and highs in the 50’s, ice may be melting at a high rate. The deadline for the removal in southern Minnesota is one week from yesterday. If they are not removed, a fine may be imposed. Ice fishers in the northern part of Minnesota have a few more weeks to go until ice houses must be removed.
