(Undated) — The tush push could become a thing of the past. NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent said Monday that an unidentified team has submitted a rule proposal to ban the controversial quarterback sneak. NFL owners could vote on the proposal next month at the owners’ meeting in Palm Beach, unless the team decides to withdraw its proposal. The play has been looked at by the NFL and the competition committee in previous offseasons, but no action has been taken. The Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills have scored a touchdown or gotten a first down on 87 percent of their tush push attempts. The rest of the league has been successful just 71 percent of the time.
