(Sioux Falls, SD) — Federal spending cuts from the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, are becoming more prevalent in South Dakota. The DOGE website now lists a dozen South Dakota locations, including the Small Business Administration in Sioux Falls. According to the federal website, the annual lease is nearly 87-thousand dollars. The SBA was one of four Sioux Falls offices set to close. The latest list also includes the Bureau of Indian Affairs offices in Sisseton, Fort Thompson and Rapid City. Other federal offices are also closing in Huron, Yankton and Watertown. There are no details on what will happen to staff members, or the people who currently rely on those agencies.
