Rep. Dusty Johnson Shows Support For DOGE

(Washington, D.C.) — South Dakota’s lone U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson is giving his stamp of approval on the DOGE spending cuts. The Republican Johnson told KELO Land News, “Some of these disruptions we have needed for years.” DOGE, or the Department of Government Efficiency – led by tech mogul Elon Musk, continues to push forward with mass layoffs and funding freezes that are having an impact nationwide and locally in South Dakota. Johnson says he knows “Elon’s heart is in the right place,” and that “these things are moving us in the right direction.” The number of federal office closures in South Dakota is now up to 13, according to the DOGE website.
