(Pierre, SD) — South Dakota lawmakers are locking in key budget decisions, including funding for South Dakota Public Broadcasting. Yesterday, the Joint Appropriations Committee elected not to follow former Governor Kristi Noem’s recommendation for nearly four-million dollars in cuts to SDPB. Noem had recommended stripping the significant amount of general funding SDBP’s budget back in December. Tuesday’s vote against making the cut came unanimously, 15-0.
